TOKO for unique design ~ A new tag line, for a new direction, a new concept, a new beginning...
'TOKO' which literally means 'shop' in Bahasa Indonesia was started by Vivian after her first trip to Bali on a break and having been struck by the wonderful colors, richness and culture of 'The Island of The Gods'.
TOKO 1 Utama materialized after the decision to relocate from the old business (NICK NACKS) in the Old Wing of 1 Utama and having been presented the opportunity of starting afresh in the New Wing 1 Utama, just as it was coming to be. By a chance reconnection and an unexpected pairing, Faizal soon came on-board and we have not looked much back since.
Our little shoppe, which started out with a Balinese concept, eventually evolved into "an interpretation of sorts" with product coming from Egypt, Vietnam and even Russia (amongst others), with items mostly unique and always of the highest quality in materials and design.
Accessory lovers often remarked they were spoilt for choice with the lovely variety of chunky, finely crafted (and always 'special') rings, bracelets, pendants, necklaces and bangles and thus we can now safely say with pride, that we never failed to live up to our initial promise of offering things truly 'unique in design'.
